The “in-ground” type, as the name suggests, is concealed beneath the floor. Typically, auto repair shops or 4S dealerships construct the foundation in advance according to the small scissor lift's foundation dimension drawings. Subsequently, the automotive equipment supplier can successfully install the lift. When fully lowered after installation, it sits flush with the floor, occupying no additional space. For facilities with limited floor area, the lift can be lowered into the recess when not in use. This space can then be utilized for vehicle repairs or as a passageway without issue.

“Ultra-thin” refers to the starting height of the scissor lift, which is also its fully lowered height. Typically around 100-odd millimeters, imported lifts may be even slimmer. This design suits users unable to build a foundation, allowing direct installation on the ground. It also facilitates easy relocation if needed later.
